OLD MAN MOUNTAIN IS BORN

Old Man Mountain is born when avid mountain biker, Channing Hammond, gets a new mountain bike with a full suspension fork. He designs a way to attach cargo racks to the center of the wheel so he can have overnight mountain biking adventures in the mountains near Santa Barbara.

OMM RACKS ON TOUR

Chris Kratsch and Katy Bryce use Old Man Mountain racks for a bike tour in Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.

THE GREAT DIVIDE RIDE

Kratsch and Bryce use Old Man Mountain racks on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, from Canada to Mexico.

BECOMING THE STANDARD

Thru axles start becoming the standard for mountain bikes.

B.O.B. TRAILERS

The Robert Axle Project is born in a garage in Bend, Oregon when Kratsch and Bryce need to attach a B.O.B. Trailer to a thru axle bike.

A PARTNERSHIP IS FORMED

Two universes collide! The Robert Axle Project starts partnering with Old Man Mountain to supply thru axles that work with OMM racks. They share a booth at Interbike for the first time.

CONTINUED LEGACY

Kratsch and Bryce purchase Old Man Mountain to continue the legacy.
