The Loam and Gravel Society.

Application to be “President” of The Loam and Gravel Society. This is a four month contract that includes a three month road trip.

Applications accepted until March 16th at 10:00pm PST.

Old Man Mountain and Robert Axle Project are looking to contract the inaugural “President” of the Loam and Gravel Society.

If you’re comfortable talking to yourself in public, love to ride bikes, and are a great content creator, we’d like to pay you $20,000, provide you with some great gear, put you in a bad ass adventure van, and send you off to ride your bike all over the western US for three months.

The “President” of The Loam and Gravel Society will take a three-month road trip to create an 8-episode YouTube series. The episodes ideas and locations will be chosen by Old Man Mountain but you will have the opportunity to influence those decisions. In addition to the eight 12-18 minute series episodes, you’ll be asked to create shorter YouTube videos, Reels, photos, and blog posts. The Presidential term will be for 16 weeks; two before the trip, twelve for the trip and, two after the trip. The workload has been set to take about 40 hours per week, including ride time.

The focus of this trip is NOT racing. You can be fast but the focus should be on enjoying the rides, the sights, and meeting potential inductees to the society. You are a content creator so you have to be willing to take lots of breaks and re-ride sections to properly chronicle them for The Society.

It’s important that we ALL ride together. We believe that success thrives on diversity and we aim to encourage and empower all employees, customers, vendors and partners of all backgrounds including, but not limited to, race, color, ancestry, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, citizenship, disability or veteran status. We do not stand for hate, bigotry, or discrimination in any form.

Let's Talk Bikes

What role do bikes play in your life?
We don't need you to be a mechanic, but we need you to be safe out on the trails, and be able to get back to the van if something breaks.

Other Stuff We'd Like to Ask.

What photo and video projects have you done? What equipment do you have? What editing programs do you use? This is a contract position so you will need to supply your own equipment.
