WHAT FIT KIT DO I NEED?
Hello! You’ve probably reached this page because the Fit Kit Finder resulted in a “Not Listed” answer. That’s okay. These instructions will help you determine what Fit Kit you need.
Step 1:
Do you have a thru axle or a QR Skewer? Not sure? Read more here. If you have a thru axle, then continue with Step 2. If you have a QR Skewer skip down to the tables below to find your Fit Kit.
Step 2:
Pull your stock thru axle out and check for dimensions. Many axles now come with the length (L) and thread pitch (TP) measurements printed on the axle. Remove the axle from your bike and double-check the dimensions. If your axle has printed dimensions, skip to Step 7. If you don’t see any dimensions, continue to Step 3.
Step 3:
Print the following “Measure Your Thru Axle” Guide. Be sure to choose your proper paper size. It is very important that you print to “actual size.” Do not “fit”, “shrink”, or “scale” this page when printing.
Step 4:
Measure the length of your thru axle. Measure the straight length of the axle shaft. Do not include the axle head or tapered part, if there is one. *Note: Axle length is not the same at hub length. A bike with a 12×148 hub standard will have a significantly longer axle.
Step 5:
Measure the diameter of your thru axle. If you are measuring a FRONT thru axle, then you need to determine if it is a 12mm or 15mm axle. If you are measuring a REAR thru axle, then it can only be 12 mm in diameter.**Some thru axles step down to 14 mm diameter at the threads. If you are unsure if you have an M14 or an M15 axle, please contact us.
Step 6:
Measure the thread pitch of your thru axle. Place your thru axle threads on top of the Guide. (Double check – did you print the Guide to actual size on the right paper?) The threads must match exactly. Determine if you have a 1.0, 1.5 or 1.75 thread pitch.
Step 7:
Use the tables below to find the Fit Kit that will fit your bike! Your thru axle can be within +/- 2 mm in length for the right fit.
