The Divide XL is made in California by Stinner Manufacturing. While made to nearly the same design as our Divide, the XL deck is 65mm (2.5″) longer and our classic logo with “Made in USA” embossed on the deck.

The full deck has plentiful lashing points and the low pannier rails make it easy to take panniers on and off when gear is on the deck. They also move the weight of your gear lower on the bike, improving your center of gravity and handling.
The dropouts are adjustable so you can perfectly dial in how the rack fits on your bike. It comes ready to mount front or rear if your bike has rack mounts. If your bike doesn’t have mounts we’ve got you covered.
We make a full line of Fit Kits to axle mount the rack. In addition to fitting nearly any bike with the Fit Kits, they also protect your bike from overloading your eyelets, increase the stiffness of the rack, and raise the weight capacity to a whopping 70lbs! We won’t tell you that 70lbs would be fun to ride with. We’re just saying you can. And, it’s fun to note that the weak point in this system is your bike frame and not our rack. 😉

Let’s get into the details and specs. The Divide XL is an incredibly adaptable rack, built to suit your needs perfectly.
- Fits up to 29 x 3 inch tires, with room for fenders.
- Front or rear mountable.
- Works with all dropper posts.
- Made from 6061 aluminum the racks are lightweight, stiff, and strong.
- The main rack frame is made of 1/2″ (13 mm) diameter tubing for durability, and the pannier rails are 3/8″ (10 mm) diameter to fit all panniers.
- The low pannier rail makes it a breeze to load and unload panniers with gear lashed to the deck.
- The deck measures 3.9″ x 13″ (100 mm x 330 mm) The deck includes slots for easily lashing gear in place and holes for mounting a light.
- The dropouts are height adjustable to keep the weight loaded low on the bike and fit a wide range of tire sizes.
- The Divide XL comes with everything you need to mount to the eyelets on your frame. Optional Fit Kits available for thru-axle or QR mounting.
- The Divide XL has a load capacity of 55lbs when eyelet mounted.
- For more adventurous endeavors we offer thru axle or QR Fit Kits, that mount the rack to the axle and increase the load capacity to a whopping 70lbs!

Purchased this for a Cervelo Rouvida that has zero attachment points for racks and the Thru Axle kit fits easily making for a very simple and elegant lower leg attachment that is beyond solid. I swapped out a set of Nitto stays and hardware for the upper mounting and attached them to a Salsa Post-Lock seat post rack mount. It looks much nicer than the supplied flat arms and is super easy to adjust and level out. I’m not in any way criticizing the supplied hardware as this bike offers no additional mounting points and I knew that I might have to make some mounting modifications. The mounting is rock solid and looks and performs perfectly. This is the only rack on the market that addresses super solid and easy fit on bikes that lack attachment points. Great rack. Thanks!

This is really sturdy rack. I am pretty sure I could attach just about anything to it and it would be totally fine. Installation took quite a while, though. I would also love it to be designed in such a way that it can be taken on and put back on easily. I don’t see anyone doing something like that, though.

Hi — I have three Old Man Mountain rear racks. I have the Divide Rack, an original “Tombstone” Divide Rack (which lives on my daily commuter), and now the Divide XL on my wife’s Kona Sutra. All three racks are amazing, but the the Divide XL is the best choice for bike-packing. The size and the rugged build quality of the XL is what makes the difference. Old Man Mountain builds the best bike racks that I have ever used, I highly recommend them. Also the customer service at OMM is outstanding too.
