Old Man Mountain Axle Pack is unlike any fork mount adapter you've seen. Rather than trying to clamp to round or tapered surfaces and just hope it doesn't slip or spin, Axle Pack is, you guessed it: Thru Axle mounted! Attaching to the axle makes it impossible to slip or spin.
Axle Pack is lightweight, reliable, robust, and rigid. With four mounting points you can also choose to run your gear higher or lower depending on your needs.
Mounted to one of our Fit Kits, Axle pack is also easily swappable with any of our racks so you can pack the right gear for the ride.
Have a carbon road bike? Perfect! Suspension fork? Perfect! Aluminum bike but you don't trust the rivnuts? We've got it! Long story short, if you have a thru axle fork, we have an Axle Pack ready for you.
Axle Pack requires a Thru Axle Fit Kit to attach to a fork. After you add the Axle Pack to your cart you can use this Fit Finder to get the correct Thru Axle Fit Kit. (Not compatible with QR skewers)

Out of stockJoin us for a bikepacking campout at Sea Otter California 2026. This camping pass is good for four days, from April 16-19th, 2026. If you can only join us for a few days this is still the pass you need. Don't worry, we will make it worth it with extra goodies :) We encourage everyone to bikepack into the event. There is a parking lot at Campground P, the site of the Campout and After Parties. There will be several multi-day group rides leading to the event as well. More info to follow. Tickets to The Sea Otter Classic not included with the Camping Pass. Camping Passes are non-refundable after March 31st, 2026. 50% refund possible until March 31st, 2026.

Out of stockLooking for a great deal on some OMM products that are pre broken in for you? These cosmetic blems are still backed by our lifetime warranty and totally up to the task at hand. Some have been installed for us to use in photos or got scratched in shipping. Some of the baskets have small pitting in the welds but they are entirely stout and this is just a cosmetic issue. Check out the photos where we point out some examples of what we consider a blem rack. All cosmetic blem sales are final.

Our Fit Kits are tried and tested! Old Man Mountain was born in 1996 from the need to mount racks on bikes without traditional mounting points and make every bike capable of doing more. Our Fit Kits do just that while having some key benefits over eyelet mounting too.
- Fit Kits protect your bike. Not all bike eyelets are meant for racks, most are only made for fenders or have very low weight limits. Axle mounting protects your frame by moving the load from a small bolt that's loaded in shear to a stud that extends from the axle and is captured by the rack dropouts.
- Need to carry more gear? Axle mounting increases our Divide rack's load capacity to 70lbs/33kg.
- Want to move your rack between multiple bikes? Fit Kits make it easy to swap between bikes or front and rear mounting with just a few bolts.?
