• Fit Kit #826 is for mounting an Old Man Mountain Sherpa Classic on to the rear of a bike with a 12 mm thru axle.
    • Thru Axle: 12 mm thru axle with 175 to 184 mm length and x 1.0 mm thread pitch.
    • Pair of 5" Dropouts. Attach the rack frame to thru axle. Fits all wheel sizes with tire width 3 inches or under.
    • Pair of 14" extenders. Stabilize and level the rack.
    • Pair of OMM Pucks. Allows for an upper attachment point for the rack.
    • Stainless steel mounting hardware.
  • Our Fit Kits are tried and tested! Old Man Mountain was born in 1996 from the need to mount racks on bikes without traditional mounting points and make every bike capable of doing more. Our Fit Kits do just that while having some key benefits over eyelet mounting too.
    • Fit Kits protect your bike. Not all bike eyelets are meant for racks, most are only made for fenders or have very low weight limits. Axle mounting protects your frame by moving the load from a small bolt that's loaded in shear to a stud that extends from the axle and is captured by the rack dropouts.
    • Need to carry more gear? Axle mounting increases our Divide rack's load capacity to 70lbs/33kg.
    • Want to move your rack between multiple bikes? Fit Kits make it easy to swap between bikes or front and rear mounting with just a few bolts.
  • This pair of 6" long extenders attaches the Old Man Mountain rack frame to the front fork. The extenders have a slot for adjustability, which allows you to level the rack on different types of bikes. Includes hardware.
  •     The Made in USA versions of our racks are made in California by the company's founder, Channing Hammond. While made to nearly the same design as our other racks, they retain our Classic logo embossed on the deck, and you now know the name of the guy that makes them. Old Man Mountain racks are the most versatile racks available. Capable of mounting to full-suspension mountain bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes, fat bikes, even tri-bikes if that's what you're in to. Tested and trusted in the most extreme environments on earth (we're still trying to get NASA to take them to the moon). Our racks have helped riders traverse Iceland in bitter cold winters, carried the gear of countless GDMBR riders, and circumnavigated the globe. The only remaining question is where will it go with you? Want to use our rack on a bike that isn't made for racks? Want to swap your rack between multiple bikes? A Fit Kit is all you need.

  • These pucks attach the Old Man Mountain rack frame to your road, gravel or cross bike fork. They provide a secure upper attachment point for the front rack. Included in the packet are heavy duty zip ties, clear protective film, and mounting hardware. Designed for use with carbon, steel, titanium and aluminum forks. Slots in the puck also allow for use with metal hose clamps (not intended for carbon forks). Pucks can be left on the bike for future reinstallation of the rack.
