    • Fit Kits protect your bike. Not all bike eyelets are meant for racks, most are only made for fenders or have very low weight limits. Axle mounting protects your frame by moving the load from a small bolt that's loaded in shear to a stud that extends from the axle and is captured by the rack dropouts.
    • Need to carry more gear? Axle mounting increases our Divide rack's load capacity to 70lbs/33kg.
    • Want to move your rack between multiple bikes? Fit Kits make it easy to swap between bikes or front and rear mounting with just a few bolts.?
  • When you need the extra space that rack bags provide, but need something that will not get in your way when the going gets strange, Nano Panniers are the ticket! These bags were designed around Old Man Mountain racks, making them a perfect fit. Designed to carry dense and heavy stuff like food, water and fuel in a low profile form. For shorter riders who need to run a rack due to limited carrying space elsewhere, these bags are your new best friend.

At only 4" wide the load stays tight to the bike on singletrack and will not get in your way on those nasty hike-a-bikes. An external compression system keeps the bag snug at various load levels.

The devil is in the details on our rack attachment system. Although simple in concept, the tight spacing between the aluminum loop and strap prevents slop at the pannier rails. A bomber Voile nano strap with metal hardware provides tension at the bottom and gives versatility in mounting.

Fiberglass stiffened high density foam frame sheet gives the bag internal structure and works with the external compression system to transfer load to the rack.

Made with 200 denier UHMWPE / Polyester woven laminated fabric, the Nanos have a minimum of seams for durability and water resistance, plus double taped lower seams.

  • Sea to Summit Dry Bags

    $39.95$44.95
Tried, true, and simple dry bags are an essential piece of bikepacking kit. We've tested a bunch and these Sea to Summit Big River dry bags strike the perfect balance of lightweight and durable. The 5 Liter are perfect for cargo cages and the 8 Liter bags match our racks decks perfectly. Big River Dry Bags use a durable and abrasion resistant 420D nylon fabric. The white interior grants greater visibility, and lash loops provide plenty of confidence. The hypalon non-wicking roll-top closure keeps water out, and the Field Repair Buckles can be replaced in seconds with just a Philips screwdriver. It also was designed with an oval base to save space when packing and prevent it from rolling away.

He’s a craggy, weathered old man, worn by time and the elements, but rest here for a moment and breath in the wisdom of the mountain air. The long sleeve runs a full size small so please order a size larger than you normally would.

Eyelet kits are rated to 45 lbs, which should be more than enough for most adventures, but does not take full advantage of the carry capacity of our racks when mounted to our thru axles.

  • These pucks attach the Old Man Mountain rack frame to your road, gravel or cross bike fork. They provide a secure upper attachment point for the front rack. Included in the packet are heavy duty zip ties, clear protective film, and mounting hardware. Designed for use with carbon, steel, titanium and aluminum forks. Slots in the puck also allow for use with metal hose clamps (not intended for carbon forks). Pucks can be left on the bike for future reinstallation of the rack.
  •     The Made in USA versions of our racks are made in California by the company's founder, Channing Hammond. While made to nearly the same design as our other racks, they retain our Classic logo embossed on the deck, and you now know the name of the guy that makes them. Old Man Mountain racks are the most versatile racks available. Capable of mounting to full-suspension mountain bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes, fat bikes, even tri-bikes if that's what you're in to. Tested and trusted in the most extreme environments on earth (we're still trying to get NASA to take them to the moon). Our racks have helped riders traverse Iceland in bitter cold winters, carried the gear of countless GDMBR riders, and circumnavigated the globe. The only remaining question is where will it go with you? Want to use our rack on a bike that isn't made for racks? Want to swap your rack between multiple bikes? A Fit Kit is all you need.
